Terms of Hire

• Condition: New or almost new wetsuits
• Delivery Date: As requested
• Return Date: Hire period starts the day the wetsuit is shipped or collected in-store.
  14-Day Hire: The wetsuit must be returned within 14 days of your requested hire date.

Wetsuits will be delivered on or before your requested delivery date (unless ordered last-minute) and must be returned on or before the due date to avoid late fees.

Rental Costs

Rental fees exclude shipping. Shipping is normally overnight to main centres and 2–3 days to outlying areas (excluding weekends and public holidays). If you require Saturday delivery or express shipping, please contact us for charges.

Wetsuit Care

• Handle gently, especially when fitting for the first time (take 15–20 minutes).
• Fit should be snug; tightness is normal at first.
• Do not swim in chlorinated water – it will ruin the neoprene. If this occurs, you will be required to purchase the wetsuit.

Wetsuit Purchase

You may purchase your rental wetsuit at the end of the hire. Please contact us before your hire ends to avoid late fees. Purchase price is based on RRP.

Wetsuit Damage

If damaged, please contact us for advice. Cuts are charged as below. If the suit cannot be repaired/resold, you must purchase it.

SIZE

We provide advice on how to put a wetsuit on for the first time. Please STOP and READ these instructions at the bottom of this page BEFORE you try the wetsuit as these are delicate products that must be handled gently to avoid damage. Please note that it is important that you provide your accurate measurements of height, weight and chest. We will try to advise you by e-mail if we consider you require a different size. If you are not used to triathlon wetsuits you may find them initially uncomfortably tight. However they do give once in the water.

It is advisable to rather visit one of our stores so that we may assist in the correct sizing and fitting for the suit to be hired. A correctly fitted and sized suit delivers better results every time.

EXCHANGES

If you decide that your wetsuit is not the correct size for you then you must CALL US before deciding whether to return the wetsuit.  Please call on 021 853 0000 and speak to us or leave a message. We will ask you if you have watched the video "How to put your swim wetsuit on" If you still consider the wetsuit is the incorrect size then we ask you to confirm your exchange request by email to rentals@fluidlines.co.za. If we agree that the size needs changing please use the ONLINE returns process within your completed online order. Return your wetsuit to the RETURNS address, we will then exchange the wetsuit. We advise ordering your wetsuit some 10 days before it is required. If you return your wetsuit and require it being returned in the same week, we will require R 250.00 for the PRIORITY delivery.  

Take your time at least 15-20 minutes the first time. Don't try it on for the first time just before your race – there is a high chance you may damage it if you are hurrying.

If the wetsuit is faulty please contact us immediately for a replacement stating the issue and we will replace immediately.

TOP TIPS for putting a wetsuit on!

A wetsuit should be put on when you are dry. Nails should be cut & not sharp. Remove watches or Jewellery. Use plastic bags or a sock over the feet, and hands to help when putting it on. Avoid nail contact with the outer surface - use finger tips! Pull legs on first as far as you can (the bottom of the wetsuit should be well up your calf); then pull on the upper body of the suit. Triathlon specific wetsuits are fragile race equipment and require careful use. The suits are made to be put on slowly, and take enough time to get the suit on correctly. Take care not to "nick " or snag the surface of the suit with your fingernails. Race wetsuits are made to take off quickly when done correctly. Use a lubricant (e.g. Bodyglide) but NEVER Vaseline as this destroys the neoprene.

Incorrect Address

If you enter an incomplete address we will be unable to refund you if the wetsuit is shipped but can’t be delivered. If we incur an additional charge from the courier you will be liable for that charge. You can correct an incorrect address within your account but you need to ensure we know about that change by confirming via e-mail. 

Wetsuit unable to be delivered

We recommend you provide a mobile number, you will receive a text message when the wetsuit has been collected and a text on the morning of delivery giving the expected time of delivery. If you are not in, we cannot accept a cancellation at this point.  You will need to contact the courier to arrange re-delivery or collection. You should not refuse the delivery in any circumstance. The reason for this is that it is cheaper to return the wetsuit yourself than what the courier company will charge for non delivery. The courier charges will be re-charged to you.

Cancelled Orders

It is possible to cancel a hire at any time until it has been shipped. If an order is cancelled before shipping there will be no charge levied other than the bank refund fee if applicable. If you try to cancel a wetsuit by rejecting the delivery, please be aware that this will incur a heavy penalty from the courier company that will be deducted from your deposit. Please note that once a wetsuit has been shipped we can no longer refund anything from your order.

An email must be followed up by a phone call in order to cancel an order prior to it being shipped.
